Anatomical preparation for ceramic laminates

Summary

The increase of the aesthetic requirement has generated innovations of the techniques and dental materials. In this context are the new materials for conservative ceramic laminates. The present case report suggests a modification in the conventional dental preparations with the objective of minimizing errors in the axis and fitting during insertion and adaptation of the ceramic laminates of reduced thickness. In addition, the anatomical preparation proposed in this study allows a better texturing and preparation of anatomical details by the technician in prosthesis. Thus, it is demonstrated the applicability of a modification, where the dental preparation follows anatomical references of the development grooves, allowing greater naturalness, esthetics and functionality in its result.
