Natural Enamel and Dentin Replacement Technique: Simplified Restoration of Posterior Teeth
This clinical case report presents the implementation of a simplified restorative technique for posterior teeth capable of replacing lost dental structures using conventional composite resins, which may assist dentists in improving their outcomes in their daily clinical practice. The technique proposed in this article, named "Natural Enamel & Dentin Substitution - NE&DS," suggests the use of few increments of composite resin and the replacement of dentin and enamel following the anatomical, histo-morphological, and functional characteristics of the dental element through a systematic step-by-step process, not only facilitating the involved operative procedures but also leading to excellent long-term results.
